Some of my favorite Six Flags postcards I've included the original captions in quotes with their original formatting.

"BOOT HILL BOUND -- Texas Section
Quick as Judge Roy Beans's court is, the gun hand
of the sheriff and his deputies is often quicker,
and some of the more desperate outlaws prefer
to try shooting it out. They never win, and
visitors continually see justice done -- a high-
light of of a visit to Six Flags Over Texas."

"DEATH TO THE YANKEES SPY
CONFEDERATE SECTION
In the midst of an enlistment rally, a Yankee spy
is discovered. The Confederate firing squad solves
the problem with one short burst."
The postcard gives you a pretty good idea of how Texans view their history.
It also helps to explain the rarity of New York plates in the parking lot.

If the guy with the gun was shooting the gay animation this would be
a pretty good summary of social policy in Texas today.

"CONQUISTADOR -- Spanish Section
Brave conquistador leaves Mission of San-Fran-
Cisco de los Tejas to organize expedition to search
for the riches of the Seven Cities of Cibola"
This combines the fun of smelling a donkey with the adventure of
wearing a wool uniform in the Texas sun.
I can't image why this attraction only lasted two years.

"THE MYSTERIOUS CAS MAGNETICA --
Spanish Section
Gavity has no meaning -- water and ball run
up hill -- standing on level ground is diffcult.
All visitor to fabulous SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS
are amazed."
Notice the hats the tourists are wearing.

THE CHAPARRAL ANTQUE CARS-- Texas Section
One of the most popular and color of the new
rides brings back the sprit of the roaring 20's
to SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS. The famous Mirabeau
B. Lamar engine can be seen in the background."
I wonder how many park employees died in the Texas heat
before they gave up on those outfits.

"COLONEL AND HIS LADY -- Confederate section
Here in the Confederate Section the colonel and
his lady relieve the romantic charm that was the
Confederacy. At Texas' fabulous $10,000,000 en-
tertainment center."
Romantic?

"A CLOSE SHAVE on leathery cowpoke comes to
a quick halt as action on the Texas street at
SIX FLAGS brings the barber, in those day the bullet remover, to see if he's needed."
A post card of other people looking at something interesting going on.

"STAGECOACH PASSES GHOSTTOWN
TEXAS SECTION -- SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS
Here in a colorful and authentic ghosttown saloon,
the piano plunks and animated skeleton of the
'Old-Timers' entertain."
There's something to be said for a time when
we could be entertained by riding on a stagecoach past
some skeletons.

KROFFT PUPPET THEATRE
"The wizardry of skillfull puppeteers makes an array of colorful-costumed
marionettes almost come to life at SIX FLAG Over Texas. Presented in air-
conditioned, half-million dollar theatre, the puttet show is a favorite with
guest of all ages"
